BBVL wins Cup game in Rostock 103-50 / Saturday vs. Wolfenbüttel

Gina Tajkov was top scorer in the Cup game.The BBV Leipzig Bundesliga Women have reached the DBBL Cup's round of sixteen. In the second round on Wednesday night they defeated EBC Rostock 103-50 (51-29). All Eagles besides Carmen Guzman and Christine Grevenstette had a share in this win. Coach Ritz Ingram gave his playmaker a rest before the league game against the BC Wolfenbüttel Wildcats on Saturday (Brüderstraße, 7.00 p.m.).

Despite new player Barbora Homolova Eagles lose 60-82 in Saarlouis / Wednesday Cup game in Rostock

Once again outstanding: Carmen Guzman.On the fourth game day the BBV Leipzig Bundesliga Women had to take their third loss. The Eagles had no chance against German champion Saarlouis losing 60-82 (25-40). Neither US playmaker Carmen Guzman, who scored 26 points, nor new player Barbora Homolova were able to change this fact. Thus Ritz Ingram's team remains in 10th position of the league table.

BBVL defeats Donau-Ries 97-88 in overtime in their first home game / Cup game against Rostock

Eagles celebrating their first win.They fought, they hoped and in the end they celebrated: The BBV Leipzig Eagles defeated Donau-Ries 97-88 (37-37, 83-83) on the third game day. However, Coach Ritz Ingram's team made this game a thriller for the 300 fans in the gym deciding the game in overtime.

Eagles receive Donau-Ries on Saturday / Grevenstette injured / Before the game: Sportivation-Firmencup

BBVL Coach Ritz Ingram is aware of the difficult situation.The BBV Leipzig's Bundesliga Women are under pressure before the third game day. After two losses, on Saturday at 7.00 p.m. the Eagles receive BG WWK Donau-Ries, who have also lost their first two league games, at Brüderstraße. In this game the Eagles will play without Christine Grevenstette. The forward strained a muscle in her leg during practice this week.

BBVL loses 55-78 in derby against SV Halle Lions without any chance

No chance against Halle: Nor for Elena Diaz neither for the rest of the Eagles.The BBV Leipzig's Bundesliga Women got smacked on the second game day. The Eagles lost the derby against the SV Halle Lions 55-78 (33-43) on Saturday. Right from the start Coach Ritz Ingram's team got behind and tried to catch up and Halle was always one step ahead. The main reasons for this were passing mistakes and almost no rebounding.

Eagles seem paralyzed and lose to NB Oberhausen 66-80

Only Carmen Guzman found to her normal form.The BBV Leipzig's Bundesliga Women screw up their first game of the new season. On Saturday Coach Ritz Ingram's team lost 66-80 (31-37) against the New Baskets Oberhausen. After a good start, the Eagles seemed very nervous and paralyzed for certain parts of this rather weak game. Only 23 of 62 shots scored. Despite US playmaker Carmen Guzman, who scored 31 points, almost all of Leipzig's players seemed completely knocked out.
